HINGE's 2019 Strategic Planning Sessions
We love getting the gang back together!
The HINGE team met up in beautiful Lake Keowee, SC over the first week of November to set our 2020 strategic plans. We were joined once again by executive coach Linda Salane and leadership coach Phyllis Nolan who led us through a number of goal-setting and team building exercises.
We launched our two days of sessions by visiting Team Ventures at Clemson University’s Outdoor Lab for a few group initiative activities. Linda and Phyllis observed our team throughout the activities to identify the different ways our team communicates and works together—turns out we’re not the best planners, but we’re great at adjusting when we can see something isn’t working!
After our team building exercises, we retreated to our lake house for lunch, broke into small groups and completed a ‘helicopter thinking’ assignment. The goal? To define our three most important success criteria. (HINT: They all had to do with our wonderful clients!)
The next day, we broke into different small groups to identify which positive outcomes we want to achieve for the business in 2020. Afterwards, we prioritized both groups ideas into our three most important, essential actions for the upcoming year. And we can’t wait to get started!
But it wasn’t all work and no play. We had two delicious dinners catered to us by Chef Angela Bell from Beyond the Bull in Seneca, SC, and spent evenings around the outdoor fireplace toasting marshmallows and drinking wine. We also took a boat ride to the nearby, lakeside lunch spot, the Lighthouse Restaurant.
Overall, it was an enjoyable (and exhausting!) few days. Take time to browse through some of the highlights below:
