A Client's Kind Words
At HINGE, we always say it’s best to sell when you’re performing well. But in child care, we know that strengthening and growing your business into a position to sell can be a difficult task. That’s why we host our webinars, workshops and conferences to help childcare business owners get connected with the right people and find the right solutions for their preschool business.
Back in February 2018, at our our very first SHIFT Childcare Leaders Conference, two childcare business owners (and sisters!) Shirley and Betty won our conference giveaway of a free, one-day assessment of their preschools. This dream team had owned and operated their childcare company for 30 years, but felt they had gotten their business as far as they could take it and wanted some outside perspective on continuing their growth.
For two years following, the team at HINGE helped the sisters identify their short term, medium and long-range solutions for growth. And in the fourth quarter of 2019, after growing their business into a strong selling position, the HINGE team began marketing the school to buyers. The 3-site school, Storybook Cottage, successfully sold in December 2020! And in March 2021, we received the letter below…
Dear Carrie, Mike, Kathe, and Molly,
When we met you at our very first Hinge conference several years ago, little did we know what a blessing to us the Hinge team would be! You helped us develop our business and were with us all the way thru to our sale and into our retirement. And it didn’t stop there! Thanks so much for the gift travel book which we will put to good use and for the subscription to Explore Local Box. Your team has gone above and beyond anything we would have expected and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Shirley McCartney
Thank you to Shirley and Betty for their kind words and faith in our team. It means so much for the hard work our team does to be recognized and appreciated. We’re thrilled to have been able to give them a positive exit from child care into retirement and wish them both the very best!
