3-Site Miniapple International Montessori Sold in Minnesota

The team at HINGE Advisors is proud to announce the sale of Miniapple International Montessori’s three preschools in Minnesota.

The schools, located in Minneapolis, Oakdale, and Roseville, were acquired by a high-quality national early education provider and will continue providing excellence in global learning as the founders retire.

“The support we got from HINGE was unbelievable,” say the husband and wife founders of Miniapple Montessori. “They certainly live up to their reputation for being the top advisors and experts in the industry.”

Carrying on the Legacy of a Beloved Brand
Miniapple Montessori was founded in 1990 in a church in Dinkytown in Minneapolis — bringing global outreach and an international flavor to the area. Its mission to promote a culturally diverse, purposeful, fun, and peaceful environment that nurtures the development of children through compassion, respect, and imagination quickly took off.

The Minneapolis school soon outgrew its space in the church and moved into its current, larger location to serve more students. Seeing a hunger for diversity and world culture in neighboring areas, Miniapple Montessori opened a second school in Oakdale in 1991 and a third school in Roseville in 1994.

With a strong reputation for its quality programs and dedication to the Montessori principles, Miniapple Montessori has been accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs four times and achieved the highest possible rating of Four Stars through Parent Aware.

“Finding the right buyer for Miniapple Montessori was really about finding the best way to continue the legacy of a beloved brand that’s known for personalized education, its longstanding staff, and local community involvement,” says HINGE Transaction Advisor Henry Tiberi, who spearheaded the deal.

A Competitive & Confidential Transaction
Identifying top prospects from its database of more than 500 active early education business buyers and investors, the HINGE team ran a competitive, confidential process that garnered interest from multiple national and regional providers.

“We were thrilled to help Miniapple Montessori’s founders find a successor who is not only aligned with their educational philosophy but who also recognizes the tremendous value of what they have built over nearly 35 years,” says Tiberi.

The HINGE team supporting this sale also included Senior Financial Analyst Rusty Bailey, who gathered and analyzed all of the necessary financial data; Diligence Manager Carrie Pergerson, who managed the entire due diligence process; and Marissa Webster, who helped bring the sale to market.

“The entire HINGE team helped us get this deal done right,” add the founders. “We couldn’t have done it without them.”
